American Community Donates Generously During Ramadan
U.S. Consulate Adana and the American Community at Incirlik Air Base donated two bicycles and 20 boxes of clothing and toys to Uçan Balon Street Children’s Association, Adana’s sole NGO devoted to the care and education of disadvantaged children. Dr. Fazilet Aksu, President of Uçan Balon and winner of last year’s Adana Local Community Award, expressed her appreciation and presented a certificate of thanks to Consul Daria Darnell. The children will enjoy unpacking the boxes during the celebration of the Ramadan holiday.
